Graf Concrete & Iron is a Nanaimo-based civil and residential construction company specializing in groundworks, deep foundation systems, and innovative structural solutions across Vancouver Island. We are a hardworking, skilled, and close-knit team that takes pride in providing opportunity, reputable results, team leadership, and quality workmanship.
We are currently seeking a General Laborer to join our crew. The ideal candidate is hardworking, physically fit, eager to learn, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with high expectations and self-motivation. If you have a go-getter attitude and want to gain irreplaceable experience in the civil construction and earthworks industry, we’d love to hear from you!
What We Offer:
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience and work ethic ($20–$26/hr to start)
- 40–60 hour work weeks (8–10 hour days + overtime)
- Paid lunches and vacation
- Full benefits package• In-house training and mentorship
- Opportunity to pursue a 4-year apprenticeship program leading to Certification in Civil Trades and Equipment Operation may be available for the right candidate.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to work long hours in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to work as part of a team
Assets (not mandatory):
- Previous construction or laboring experience
- First Aid, rigging, confined spaces training, or other relevant tickets
